Sensing even beyond
the grid.

Harvestcore is a solar-powered sensor platform, connected over LTE-M or satellite (NTN), that keeps measuring where there's no mains power, no Wi-Fi, not even mobile coverage, and nobody around to swap batteries. Attach almost any sensor and it handles the power, the connectivity and the data.

The hardware

A charger board built for the field.

At the heart of every Harvestcore node is our own energy-harvesting power board, designed in-house around the e-peas AEM15820 PMIC. It pulls the most out of a small solar panel, looks after the battery, and gives the electronics a clean, stable supply day and night.

LiFePO4 Sodium-ion Chemistry selected in configuration

Sodium-ion and LiFePO4 cells are robust and avoid the safety concerns of high-energy chemistries. That makes them a natural fit for unattended outdoor deployments. Why sodium-ion? →

Why sodium-ion

A battery that likes the outdoors.

A field sensor's battery sits in a box on a pole through frost, heatwaves and years of daily cycling, with nobody watching it. Sodium-ion is built for exactly that life.

Charges below freezing

Lithium cells, LiFePO4 included, should not be charged below 0 °C. Sodium-ion keeps charging well below freezing, so the panel's energy on a cold, bright winter morning still ends up in the battery.

Strong in the cold

It holds on to much more of its capacity in deep cold than lithium chemistries, so nodes keep reporting through long winter nights.

Safer by nature

Its much lower risk of thermal runaway matters when a unit sits in direct sun, on a dike or next to infrastructure. Cells can also be stored and shipped fully discharged to 0 V.

Abundant materials

No lithium, cobalt or nickel. Sodium is everywhere, which means a more sustainable and more stable supply for deployments at scale.

The honest trade-off: sodium-ion stores less energy per cell than lithium. On Harvestcore that hardly matters, because the solar harvester tops the battery up every day. What counts is that it keeps charging and delivering through every season, and that's where sodium-ion shines. Prefer LiFePO4? The board supports both, selected in configuration.

The platform

Everything a field sensor needs, done once.

Most sensor projects stall at the same hurdles: power, connectivity and reliability. Harvestcore solves them in one proven stack, so a new sensor becomes a small driver change rather than a new product.

Truly off-grid

Solar harvesting plus smart storage means no cables to run and far fewer site visits.

Sensor-agnostic

Noise today, soil moisture, water level or flow tomorrow. Replace the sensor driver and payload, keep everything else.

Cellular & satellite

LTE-M where there's a mobile network, satellite NTN where there isn't. Both use power-saving modes, batched uploads and automatic reconnect.

Built to keep running

Deep sleep, watchdog recovery, low-battery handling and on-device event logging for months of unattended use.

Set up from your phone

Hold a magnet to the unit at boot and configure it over a local Wi-Fi page. No laptop, no cable.

Health in every reading

Battery voltage, solar input and charge state travel with each measurement, so you always know how a node is doing.

Field to dashboard

One team, end to end.

Hardware, firmware, connectivity and cloud are designed together, so the data arrives complete and the system is easy to support.

01 · SENSE

Measure

The sensor wakes, takes a reading and stores it while the node sleeps between samples.

02 · SEND

Transmit

Readings are batched and sent over LTE-M or satellite (NTN) with lightweight CoAP and MessagePack, using minimal airtime and energy.

03 · STORE

Ingest

A secure backend validates, de-duplicates and stores every reading and device event.

04 · USE

Act

A live dashboard shows device health, latest values and history. A REST API feeds your own systems.

First deployment

DBM Monitor: noise, measured continuously.

The first product on Harvestcore is an outdoor noise monitor. A dB(A) sound-level sensor logs the full picture of the acoustic environment, around the clock, with no power hookup.

  • Sound level in dB(A), with LAmax, LAmin, peak and LAeq per interval
  • Battery and solar status reported alongside every reading
  • Configurable sample interval and quiet-hours scheduling
  • History, charts and device status in the web dashboard
